Fiona Twycross AM


Fiona Twycross was elected to the London Assembly in May 2012 and is a Labour Londonwide Assembly Member.

Fiona is Deputy Chair of the Economy Committee and a member of the Housing, Health and Police and Crime Committees. She is also Vice Chair of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority and Labour spokesperson on fire. Prior to her election she worked for the health charity Diabetes UK.

Fiona led an investigation in to the scale of food poverty in London on behalf of the Assembly’s Health and Environment Committee. The report from this investigation A Zero Hunger City: Tackling Food Poverty in London was published in March 2013.

Fiona sits on the Labour Party’s National Policy Forum and is on the Education and Children Policy Commission. Based in South London, she is Chair of Lambeth Academy’s governing body and an active member of the Friends of the Horniman Museum and Gardens.
