Fire deaths cut could be put at risk by further Government cuts - Fiona Twycross AM

Responding to new London Fire Brigade data showing significant cuts in fire deaths, Labour’s London Assembly Fire spokesperson Fiona Twycross AM said:

"The massive fall in fire deaths is testament to the bravery, professionalism and dedication of London’s firefighters. Londoners should be very proud of the work their fire service do keeping them safe.

“The Mayor’s previous fire station closures pushed up response times across London. With the Government lining up yet more cuts to the public sector, the challenge now is on the Mayor to stand firm against any further cuts which could well put this cut in fire deaths at risk.”
